Research

Most of my career has been devoted to field research, with my graduate work focusing on social behavior of bighorn sheep in several populations in Montana, Nevada and New Mexico.  Following that, I started studying carnivore ecology in southeastern Arizona, primarily on coatis and skunks, and some of their predators.  Below is a list of the technical publications resulting from my research projects.  Many of these can be downloaded from my profile on Researchgate.

My current research focuses on using audio recordings to document species presence, soundscape diversity, and acoustic phenology.
